Annin Flagmakers History

When it comes to American flags, one name stands above the rest: Annin Flagmakers. Founded in 1847, Annin is the oldest and one of the most trusted flag manufacturers in the United States. With a rich history and a commitment to quality, Annin has been the go-to supplier of American flags for over 175 years.

John Annin established the company, and it quickly became a pioneer in the flag-making industry. From its early days, Annin focused on creating high-quality, durable flags, serving government entities, military organizations, and private citizens. From their unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, made with the best materials available, has earned them a reputation for excellence.

Annin’s involvement in significant historical moments showcases its prominence in the nation’s story. For example, they were responsible for the iconic flags flown at key moments in American history, including the flag that flew over Fort McHenry during the War of 1812, which inspired Francis Scott Key to pen “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Annin flags were at the inauguration of Abraham Lincoln as well as the flag that draped Lincoln’s casket.

High Quality, American Made

One of Annin’s most notable qualities is its emphasis on the finest US-made materials. They use tough fabrics like nylon and polyester to ensure flags can withstand various weather conditions, whether they’re flying in the heart of a bustling city or the harshest climates. This attention to quality ensures that an Annin flag lasts and proudly waves

Today, Annin Flagmakers is still a family-owned company, committed to maintaining the traditions established nearly two centuries ago. They offer flags for every occasion, including American flags, state flags, military flags, and international flags.

If you are looking for a flag for your home, school, business, or public institution, Annin Flags stands as a symbol of pride, heritage, and enduring quality in flag making.
