Is a Double sided flag Necessary?

For certain uses a double sided flag is a great option! They are very popular for indoor display. A lot of times the flag will also have a pole sleeve and gold fringe. Another use for double sided flags is used in parades. When walking in parades it is important to read the flag correctly from both sides especially if it has words on it.

The double sided flag is more expensive than a single side reverse flag because it is two flags sewn back to back with a liner in the middle. Essentially two flags are printed to make one.

Will a double sided last longer than a single side reverse? You may think because the flag is more expensive it will last longer. However, that is not the case. The flag is heavier so when it is on a flagpole there is more whip to the flag causing it to fray faster. A single side reverse flag will typically outlast a double sided flag.

Because there are two flags printed, the flag reads correctly on both sides. If this is important to you, the double sided flag is the best option.
