Custom flags can be made from various materials, each with its own characteristics and suitability for different situations. Nylon
Nylon is our bread and butter when it comes to custom flags. If you want the highest quality custom flag, nylon is the material to pick. Nylon flags are known for their strength, flexibility, and excellent flyability. They have a smooth and shiny appearance and provide good color representation. Nylon is lightweight and dries quickly, making it suitable for outdoor use. Nylon custom flags are made out of 200 denier nylon and made in America, using the highest quality machines and materials.
Polyester
Polyester is the secondary option for custom flags. They are not as durable as nylon, but are a great option for other reasons. The material is lightweight, and still has vibrant colors. There are a few polyester material options, but after some research we have found 100 denier polyester and blockout polyester to be the best. These flags may not be as durable, but they are perfect for fundraisers, giveaways, or gag gifts.
Vinyl
Vinyl is used for banners. These are great for signs that will be hung on a wall or a fence outside. Single sided is more popular, however, there will be no print on the backside of the banner. It will be white. There is an option to have a double sided banner, it is printed on a thicker vinyl. The banners are made from PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and are highly durable and weather-resistant. They are suitable for outdoor use and can withstand harsh conditions. Vinyl banners are commonly used for long-term outdoor advertising, construction sites, or as banners for sports events.
Cotton
There are no manufactures that can make custom flags in cotton material. They only make 5’x9.5’ American Flags for caskets in cotton material.
When choosing the material for a custom flag, consider the intended use, weather conditions, and durability requirements. Nylon is the popular choice for most situations due to the durability, colorfastness, and versatility. Polyester is more suitable for affordability. Vinyl banners are ideal for outdoor locations or on an indoor wall.
