When starting any project, cost is a big factor. Are you looking for the best product? Do American made products matter to you? Are you price shopping? Are you looking for great customer service? Or are you just going with the first company you find? Any of those options are valid. The most common question is how much does it cost to make a custom flag?
Size
The size of the flag you are looking to purchase is the first question we will ask. The most common size is a 3’x5’. However, if you are just looking to get a flag for your boat, a 12”x18” might be the right size for you. Or if you have a large flagpole in front of your business, a larger flag like a 4’x6’, 5’x8, 6’x10’ might be the better option. If you know the size of your flagpole, we can help determine what size flag would be best. So, with that said, smaller flags cost less than larger flags. The larger the flag, the more expensive the flag is.
Quantity
If you just want one flag for a gift or to hang inside, we can make just one flag. We have price discounts when you order 3, 6, 12, 25, 50, and 100. The more you order, the more the price goes down per flag. However, even if you think you only need one flag, please know your flag will last 3-6 months if flown 24/7, so it might be better to get 3, 6, or 12 flags at a time.
Material
US made, 200 denier nylon will hold up the best in wind and sun. That is our gold standard product we will always recommend first and also the most expensive flag. If you are looking for flags for fundraisers, giveaways, single use, or gag gifts, we offer a 100 denier polyester import product that is the perfect option that costs less than the gold standard flag.
Finish
The finish of the flag can make a difference in the price of the flag. A single side reverse flag will be about half the price of the double sided flag. The single side reverse is a single layer of fabric, printed on the front and bleeds through reading in reverse on the back. A double sided flag is two flags sewn back to back with a liner in the middle reading correctly on both sides. Another finish option is either header and grommets or a pole sleeve. Unless asked, we will always finish our flags with header & grommets. When ordering 1-3 flags the price is not affected by adding a pole sleeve. But, when ordering 6, 12, 25 or more, the price will go up when ordering a flag with a pole sleeve. Flags finished with header and grommets are very versatile.
