On December 7th, 1787, Delaware became the first state of the United States of America. It is also second smallest state, yet one of the most densely populated among the US.
Delaware is rich with history; for instance, towers were built along the coast during World War II in order to protect the borders from German warships. Today nine of those towers are still in standing.
The Delaware State Flag depicts the State’s coat of arms, which alludes to Delaware’s agriculural and naval roots.
