Delaware is the second smallest state, yet one of the most densely populated among the US. Do not put its small size to the test, because Delaware still has tons of history. For starters, Delaware built towers along the coast during World War II in order to protect the borders from German warships. Today nine of those towers are still exist. Also, Delaware started the bathing beauty pageant for “Miss United States” in order to increase tourism to their Rehoboth Beach. The first judge happened to be famous creator Thomas Edison (History.com).
