Meet the Team :: Scott Donze

Custom Flag Company Scott

Meet the Team: Scott

Scott has lived in Colorado all of his life.  He has over twenty years’ experience in oil and gas accounting and has worked for Custom Flag Company for the past couple of years. Scott would tell you accounting is a boring and thankless job, but working for Custom Flag Company is enjoyable and fulfilling because of the people where growth, teamwork, fitness, fun and friendship are promoted. Scott has known Kim for over 30 years (he is married to Kim’s sister). Scott, his wife and two boys (both Boy Scouts) enjoy the Broncos, traveling, hiking, biking, camping, and working out.

How would you describe your job to a child?

I count candy and the only thing better than candy is more candy.  (What an accountant does)

What is your motto or personal mantra?

Live like you were dying(Tim McGraw).  I don’t like to pass up a chance to have fun or do something different.

What’s your favorite line from a film?

“Why don’t you kiss her instead of talking her to death?  You want me to kiss her, huh?  Aaah, youth is wasted on the wrong people!!!”-It’s a Wonderful Life

What phone app can you not do without?

If it weren’t for the google app, my phone would be a brick in my pocket and I would appear half as smart as I am.

What’s the most important lesson you learned in the last year?

I am still learning.

What’s your ‘focus word’ this year and how are you implementing it?

Joy, a word describing the feeling one experiences when accomplishing something of great importance.  (My definition) I try to treat everything I do as if it were of great importance, even if it is counting candy.

Anything exciting you want to share with our readers?

I love to watch the Amazing Race, The Walking Dead, Myth Busters and anything on the Science or Discovery channels.  I also like to travel, ride bikes and eat out with family and friends.

Find out where he’s from and some of his favorites on last year’s blog.
