Honor and Remember Flag. What is it?

It is a flag designed by George Lutz to honor and remember our fallen heroes.

Chris and I have the great honor of meeting George Lutz, the founder of Honor and Remember, Inc. and heard his story of how the Honor and Remember flag originated, and the importance of the Honor and Remember Flag. After he spoke he presented a personalized Honor and Remember flag to the family of a Fallen Hero. It was very touching.  As we approach Memorial Day, take a moment to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Honor & Remember Organization:

Mission: To create, establish and promote a nationally recognized flag that would fly continuously as a visible reminder to all Americans of the lives lost in defense of our national freedoms. All Military lives lost not only in action but also in service, from our nation’s inception.

Rationale: In our over 200 year history there has never been an official national symbol that specifically recognizes in gratitude and respect the ultimate sacrifice made by members of the United States military in service to our nation. The Honor and Remember Flag was created for that purpose.

Honor and Remember Flag

The Honor and Remember Flag was designed from both historic military and universal icons.

Red field:  Symbolizes the sacrifice of blood shed; what better color than American Flag red.

White field: The purity of that sacrifice. Each man and women serves with a pure heart and a willingness to lay down their lives at any moment.

Blue Star in the center: Dates back to World War I when military families hung a solid blue star banner on their windows or doors representing a loved one on active duty.

Gold Star overlaying the Blue: Again going back to WWI, signified that the loved one had been killed.

Folded Flag: Represents the flag that is handed to each family at the memorial service of their loved one.

Flames: An eternal reminder that we will never forget.

The Three Words: Complete the tribute, we will always Honor their sacrifice and Remember them specifically by name.

We stock the Honor and Remember Flag so that you may show your support to our servicemen and women.
