Gov. Hickenlooper orders flags lowered for Colorado State Patrol trooper Jaimie Jursevics
DENVER — Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 — Gov. John Hickenlooper today ordered flags be lowered to half-staff on Monday, Nov. 23, on all public buildings statewide in memory of Colorado State Trooper Jaimie Jursevics. Flags should be lowered from sunrise to sunset.
Trooper Jursevics was struck and killed by a suspected DUI driver while assisting with a crash investigation on the evening of November 15, 2015. Jursevics proudly and honorably served Colorado for nearly 5 years. Upon graduation from the Colorado State Patrol academy, she was assigned to the Patrol’s Vail post. In September of 2014, she transferred to the Castle Rock troop office.
She is survived by her husband and daughter.
Member of the public are welcome to attend services which will be held Monday, Nov. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at the Denver First Church, 3800 E. Hampden Ave., Englewood.
