How are your New Year’s resolutions going? Have you been successful or have you slipped up a bit? Just checking in.
It’s time to look forward and assess our progress for January 2015. Are you still committed to your resolutions or are your wrestling with procrastination? It’s never
too late!
First of all, have you made your resolution a goal? It’s simple to make a general resolution like “I am going to lose weight” but a specific goal, say lose 15 pounds,
will make you more accountable throughout your resolution journey.
After setting a goal, define the action steps to make your goal attainable. Examples could be to limit your daily calorie intake and exercise three times a week for one hour.
An effective way to make resolutions stick is to turn them into habits. Some say it takes 21 days to form a habit. Research has shown it can take anywhere from 21 to 66 days. Are you ready to commit yourself to something for 66 days?
Don’t let 2015 pass you by. Turn your resolution into goals and your action steps into habits.
